Church announcements for Sunday, March 10, 2013
1. On behalf of Raju Achen and the church members, I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Rev Fr Basil Thomas Achen to come to church and conducting the Holy Qurbana. Thank you!
Achen is originally from Ahmadabad and is a vicar at the church there. He is married and currently- studying at Tekon’s seminary
Thanks for Sajan & Jeemon for their hospitality & Saji M Pothen for coordinating the last three weeks in Achen ‘s absence.
2. Next week is Catholicate Day and Sabha Dinam
3. Monthly prayer meeting will be on march 17 at 5:00 pm at Mr. Aby T. John’s residence. Please contact Mr. George Thamaravelil, if you are interested in having a prayer meeting at your home.
4. MGOCSM meeting will be held today.
5. MGOCSM Lenten retreat on Saturday , March, 16th at St. Stephen’s Midland Park church. All MGOCSM members are requested to attend.
6. Next week’s bible reading will be given by Christa George.
7. Next week’s Lenten Sermon will be given by Jaime Mangalathu.
8. New Coordinators for SMYLE- Mrs. Becky Philip, Mrs. Leena Paul, Mr. Solomon Daniel & Jerry Jose
9. New Sports Program for Church members- Sunu and Liju will be leading a brainstorming session today.
10. Sunday School Children 5 grade and up who are interested in group song competition please give their names to Mrs. Ancy George.
11. Church Family Trip – Cruise: 45 People have registered for the cruise and meeting will be held next week by Saji K Pothen or Ben Cherian for more details
12. Retreat and Confession will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2013
i. Separate sessions – 10 am for youth (English) and adults
ii. 2:00 pm for Sunday School children
Retreat Leaders will be Fr. Boby Varghese (St. Valdimir Seminary) and Br. Shinto David (St. Tikhon’s Seminary).
